As the lead body for film in the UK, BFI have announced environmental sustainability as a cross-cutting principle within their 10-year plans as set out in Screen Culture 2033 and the BFI National Lottery Strategy 2023-2033. In 2023, they released further details of their Screen New Deal; Transformational plan – a collaboration between the BFI, BAFTA albert, Arup, Creative Wales, Ffilm Cymru Wales and Media Cymru, which set a clear route map that is being put into practice in Wales, and which key recommendations can be used across all areas of the UK.
