Tendring District Council is a member of the Filming in England partnership, and works with Creative England to ensure a film friendly welcome for all productions looking to film in Tendring, Essex.

Located on England’s Eastern shores, the coastal district of Tendring offers a wealth of possibilities for film and TV productions of all shapes and sizes, from stunning coastline and its famous piers, to unique period structures and imposing ruins. Creative England is proud to be working in partnership with Tendring District Council to support filming in Tendring.

Planning Your Shoot

For feature & HETV drama projects, we are funded to provide a dedicated, bespoke production liaison service, including locations research, permissions, local liaison, and management of enquiries, contacts and documents on your behalf – simply contact us with details of your project and your needs, and let us do the rest.

Apply to Film in Tendring

When you’re ready to submit your filming application or enquiry to the council, simply contact our Production Liaison Manager for the East and South East for an introduction to the relevant authorities.

Where possible, please have relevant documentation ready, including proof of public liability insurance, method statement, risk assessment, and any other supporting documents.
